Description:
Do you struggle with finding a therapist who's willing to talk about your sexual or relationship orientation just as a FACT instead of as something you need to 'work on'?
Are you struggling with addictions (substance or behavioural) and want to know how to move forward and beyond, for yourself and maybe your family also?
Do you have difficulty integrating the physical, emotional and intellectual experiences in your life and want a place where you can start to make sense of it all?
I work to help my clients gain a sense of clarity and control in their lives through self-empowerment and increasing self-awareness.
If any of these described you, or if you have other issues you'd like to work through and you feel we would be a good match, I would love to hear from you. Individuals, couples and families are welcome.
ABOUT ME:
I hold a Master's in Counselling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fresno. I've taken additional training in sexuality and sex therapy, the treatment of trauma and addictions, and Play Therapy. I have over 10 years' experience helping people with addictions through peer support, education, and counselling, most recently for 16 months with AHS Addiction and Mental Health. I have facilitated community discussions on boundaries, communication and consent within relationships.
I am currently training in Hakomi, a mindfulness-based therapy. I am happy to incorporate this modality into our work together if this is something which interests you.
