Description:
I offer childbirth education (Brio Birth and other classes) and labor support (doula services) to women and families in central and eastern Massachusetts.
I teach a comprehensive course (24 hours of instruction) which covers: how the body works during pregnancy; how to eat and exercise to keep your baby healthy; various choices in care providers and places of birth; many different ways to relax; what the parts of labor look like, and how to support a laboring mom; how to work effectively with your partner and your birth team; the aftermath of birth; nursing your baby; and taking care of your newly expanded family. I welcome expectant parents in all kinds of families, from single moms to same-sex couples to poly arrangements, as well as those in more traditional relationships!
