Description:

“As an individual, group and family therapist, I work collaboratively and creatively with my clients to facilitate positive change. I believe the therapeutic relationship is unique, special and most effective when my client can be open and candid. Thus, I strive to foster a warm and safe environment and guide my clients in developing a comfortable pace for sensitive topics. I will bring optimism to the therapy process and am personally aware of its capacity to encourage self-reflection, aid in personal growth, enrich relationships and enhance the quality of one's life.

I work successfully with adults, children and adolescents ages 4 and older, regarding life issues such as, but not limited to, eating and body image concerns, anxiety, depression, abuse (physical, emotional and sexual), trauma and PTSD, teen pregnancy, relationship concerns, grief and loss, domestic violence, substance abuse and life transitions.

I have special training in treating issues of trauma and abuse using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am skilled in working with teens and families around issues of teen pregnancy. I have significant experience in the treatment of eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, overeating and binge eating.”

I enjoy group and family work of all shapes and sizes and have experience successfully working with polyamorous families.
